What percentage of your taste buds will be left by the time you are 60?

Taste buds are located on the surface of the tongue, palate and upper oesophagus. At the age of 40, the onset of reduction of the number of taste buds occurs. By the age of 60, many people lose almost 50 per cent of their taste buds.
