A kind of strawberry that tastes like pineapple

The pineberry is a mutant form of strawberry, which has white flesh with red seeds. It was discovered by Dutch farmers in France. After six years of cultivation and selection, the commercial varieties were brought under production. Ever since commercial production began, the fruit became a food fad in Britain. However, now it has gone international. Packaged pineberries have become trendy gift items on weddings, birthdays and other occasions in several countries.

Telstar – the satellite that relayed the first transatlantic TV signals

In 1962 the satellite Telstar was developed by AT&T and it was placed in an orbit of 682 to 4,030 miles (i.e. 1,091 to 6,444 km) orbiting the earth in 2 hours 40 minutes. The first transatlantic television signals were transmitted through Telstar. With the launch of Telstar, wireless communications, such as voice, television, fax and data transfer were carried out between UK, Brazil, France, Italy and the US.

Physical difficulties couldn’t field out this best attacking midfielder

Michel Platini of France is known as one of the best attacking midfielders of the game. He was also known for his trademark freekicks. He had breathing difficulties and a weak heart. He has been named the European Footballer of the Year thrice in 1983, 1984 and 1985. In his teens while taking a breathing test on a spirometer, he fainted. The doctor’s verdict on his breathing difficulties and weak heart apparently brought an end to all his hopes of pursuing a career in football, but what actually happened is contrary to that and by all means a history.
